7/11/01. This is what the kitchen has looked like for the past month or so. It was an enourmous relief to get the paint on and cease living in a construction zone. I put a lot of effort into the lighting design, with strips of low-voltage lights on the beams, and various task lights all around. Most of the work now is the cabinets, plus the trim. At least the cabinet work can be done in the shop.
